Two Are Better Than One – The Power of Partnerships

eccl-4-9-10Whether shooting baskets, playing catch or doing any sorts of boyhood activities, it’s more fun with two boys than just one. Those were my childhood memories. You could endlessly throw a baseball, ride bikes or climb trees as long as you had a buddy at your side. Life was good and simple back then!

Little did I know, and long before I took to the “Good Book”, wise King Solomon had observed the same. Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor…” Ecclesiastes 4:9. Who would have thought!

Boys grow up to be men, and though my daily activities differ, I still find the power of two at work.

In Luke 10 Jesus leverages the power of two in his ministry.

“After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

Partnerships, or what I call the “power of two” is a spiritual principle God is using as Loving Community takes root and grows in our community. Two truly are better than one when it comes to the ventures of mentoring children, loving senior adults, training missionaries, and a host of other activities.

We are grateful for the partnerships and people that God is bringing into our lives. As God is transforming our community these are just a few of the people and places we see the “power of two” at work. Your prayers are appreciated as God grows and strengthens our partnerships as we love the 75067!
