What I Am STILL Learning From Dr. Seuss — #RestBreak2016
Dr. Seuss STILL makes me laugh! Perhaps he makes you laugh too? Fancy in your wildest dreams a cast of silly storybook characters imparting such a lifetime of wisdom. As our society spirals and daily looses more sense of civility, I want to tweet out — Dr. Seuss for President!
Could we not use a string of tweets more like the ones below than what we are reading?
- “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.” ~The Lorax.
- Or the the encouraging words of Horton that “A person’s a person no matter how small.” and “I meant what I said and I said what I meant, an elephant’s faithful one-hundred percent!”
As I rest, reflect and make plans to re-engage, sometimes you read the words of Jesus, other times you read the words of Dr. Seuss!
Giving both equal blog time, this is a link to the top ten quotes from Dr. Seuss http://onfirenews.com/?p=68#.V1ATVAPZupM.twitter and the beatitudes spoken by Jesus https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beatitudes.
Peace and rest be with you,
PS – As I spend time reflecting on how God has uniquely created me and all the tools I have collected through the years to assess this – Myers-Briggs, StrengthsFinder, DISC, APEST, Enneagram, and others, just for today I balance all this out recognizing, “Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.” ~ Dr. Seuss
