Jennifer Grimes and Marcos Pizza Recipient of Good Neighbor Award
LEWISVILLE, TEXAS – Jennifer Grimes the General Manager for Marco’s Pizza on W. Round Grove Road in Lewisville, TX has been recognized as the March 2019 Good Neighbor of the Month. The award is presented by Loving Community a Dallas-Fort Worth based neighborhood advocacy group. The monthly honor is given to individuals or organizations who exemplify an outstanding neighboring spirt and involvement in their local community.
Jennifer has been with Marco’s Pizza Lewisville location on W. Round Grove Road since September 2016. In 2018 as General Manager her store became the first in the region to hit the $1 million dollars sales mark. That’s a lot of pizza!
Jennifer loves what she does and her customers love her! She has been known to write happy messages of encouragement on pizza boxes as they are delivered. She said, “I can’t imagine my life without the chaos that is my job. I love all my work-kiddos that I’ve been a part of their lives, I love the customers who I know by name and get to visit with on the regular, and I love being able to put my talents to good use and model a behavior of commitment to my children.
Jim Mustain, Executive Director of Loving Community says of Jennifer and Marco’s Pizza, “That operating kid’s lunch time mentoring programs in many Lewisville schools requires LOTS of Pizza! Kid’s LOVE pizza and especially Marco’s Pizza. When I first sat down with Jennifer to talk about Marco’s being our sole provider, as a nonprofit she offered us with a wonderful price as their way of giving back to the community. Frankly, she has saved us hundred of dollars that we are then able to invest back into mentoring. We couldn’t make it all happen without Marco’s as our partner!”
Jennifer is a graduate of Bowie High School in Arlington, TX and Tarrant County College. She and her family have been involved and giving back to the Lewisville community for the past 19 years.
