Hike to Help – January 13-14, 2018 – Challenge the Body, Renew the Spirit
Some of my favorite life memories have happened outdoors in the wilderness. Taking in a panoramic view from a mountain top or gazing into a starlit sky renews my spirit.
Is it any wonder that the Gospel stories of Jesus most often feature a river bank, a sea shore, a mountain top, or a wilderness, sleeping under the stars and in the company of friends around a campfire.
Stories of adventure and challenge are still being written. However it takes a willingness to step away from the office, break the routine of the indoors, and come along with others seeking a memory making adventure.
Loving Hiking, a community initiative of Loving Community is sponsoring our third annual “Hike to Help” to raise funds and benefit the boys and young men of our mentoring initiatives, Boys2Men and Men of Distinction. Your participation fee of $100 per hiker, and the opportunity to ask others to sponsor you, will assist in providing funding for these two award winning mentoring programs.
