Advent Conspiracy – Love All – Week 4
As I sit here to write to you the news headlines read as follow: “FBI investigating San Bernardino shootings an act of Terrorism” (The Washington Post), “Unrest in Chicago after police officer charged with murder in shooting of black teenager.” (The Washington Post), “Syrian Refugees not welcomed in 31 U.S. states. (CNN)
“It has me questioning ; Where is the Love?
There was a song released in 2003 by a group called Black Eyed Peas, the song title is Where is the Love. Twelve years later , in 2015, we are still having to ask that question. Here is a Snippet of the Lyrics, very raw and speaks much truth to our current events.
“Where is The Love” -Black Eyed Peas
What’s wrong with the world, mama
People livin’ like they ain’t got no mamas
I think the whole world addicted to the drama
Only attracted to things that’ll bring you trauma
Overseas, yeah, we try to stop terrorism
But we still got terrorists here livin’
In the USA, *******, The Bloods and The Crips and the KKK
But if you only have love for your own race
Then you only leave space to discriminate
And to discriminate only generates hate
And when you hate then you’re bound to get irate
Madness is what you demonstrate
And that’s exactly how anger works and operates
Now, you gotta have love just to set it straight
Take control of your mind and meditate
Let your soul gravitate to the love….
“For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the Government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6
“For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
This was the Greatest love of all and for all, Christ coming to Earth to save us. I still have hope of a world full of love and peace, where there are no wars, but unity, and every need is met. This hope I have is the Hope of Christ, that through our love for Him, we can be Ambassadors for the Kingdom of God.
To have Love for all means we must first die to self and follow after Christ. In Matthew 22:37 Jesus said, “We are to Love the Lord our God with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our mind.”
As we put God first in our hearts the ability to love all becomes intentional and with purpose. It is through love that the lost will be found. With all the sadness we see in our World today, Love is the only way.
This Christmas season Worship fully with all your heart, Spend Less and Give more of your heart, and Love ALL as Christ has loved us.
Peace & Blessings,
